Welcome all to this years Bonchester Village Party and Scarecrow Festival!
This took place on Sunday 9th September 1pm - 4.30pm at William Laidlaw Memorial Hall and Grounds.
A fantastic afternoon. Team Freestyle created a mini-obstacle course for the kids, which was a great success, many thanks to coach Mark and the Team for taking the time to volunteer. Gearing up perhaps for the launch of the OCR event on 22nd September along the road at Harwood Mill Farm!
The SWI made an amazing array of delicious cakes, and were kept busy selling teas and coffees inside the hall. What a skilled set of bakers we have in Bonchester!
The Pipe Bands marched and played rousing renditions of Scottish tunes, echoing along the Rulewater valley. Stirring stuff!
Face Painters, juggling stilt walkers, and a great turn out made this event a real feel-good community afternoon.
